My view about English Philosophy 2
I made English Philosophy my focus because I schooled with English language as the language of instruction; I mean British English.
My general comments on British English as a student's instructional language are that:
1 It's easily understood because the expressions are familiar and concrete in the daily life experience of the learner. What you feel and think has specific English meanings.
2 English language is the most ubiquitous language on Earth so every tongue and tribe have their words interpretable to English language.
3 English language has the most numerous of instructional texts amongst the world's major academic thoughts.
4 Almost everyone understands and speaks English.
In conclusion, most of the academic attempts to explain the nature of scientific, artistic and the phenomenons of the humanistics finds their expressions in the words of English language with ease, hence discussions about life's issues makes use of the most current of English words as the mode of expression.
I Love English language, I Love English Philosophy and I Love The Field of Epistemology.
I am Emeritus Professor Frank Edwards Hanoveramie Goel, Emeritus Professor, Epistemology, Sao Tome & Principe.
Cheers!
My view about English Philosophy.
Philosophy comprises of 3 fields viz, the fields of
Ontology or Logic & reasoning
Metaphysics
Epistemology.
ONTOLOGY: Deals with the elements of Logic and Reasoning.
METAPHYSICS: Deals with Religion, Religious practices and Theology.
EPISTEMOLOGY: The source or root of written or shared knowledge.
The bedrock of philosophy is Epistemology from which the other branches derive their meaning. This being as it may, Epistemology as a study
of the root of written or shared knowlege sheds light on other aspects of
philosophy and subjects of philosophy which covers all fields of human endeavor viz the arts, sciences and the
humanities.
My focus is on English Philosophy.
